34 Weeks: Pregnancy Update

34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks and 4 days

Baby is the size of a … Butternut squash Baby is somewhere between 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. Growing big and strong!

How has (s)he changed this week? Baby recognizes and reacts to simple tunes. Too bad Rich is a little tone deaf. 😉

So far, I’ve gained … 34 pounds total, no weight gain this week.

Sleep has been … Better but it still takes some time to get comfortable. Staying comfortable is another story!

I feel … Stressed due to non-baby related things! This is no good for the baby, so I just need to relax and remember that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel — in the form of a 12-week maternity leave!!

I miss … Nothing right now

Craving … Something salty, like Cheez-Its, which I happen to have just face-planted into a few minutes ago.

Keep me away from … Nothing right now — Sorry, I’m boring this week!

Symptoms?  Frequent bathroom breaks, shortness of breath, baby brain, Braxton Hicks contractions, fatigue!

Gender? Boy! Or girl. Who knows!

Maternity clothes? Leggings, tunics, maxi dresses and skirts… you name it, I’m wearing it. 😉

Movement? Lots, all the time, every day =)

Exercise? Walking

Healthy eats? Nothing out of the ordinary except for maybe fresh corn on the cob; still noshing on lots of summer fruit while it’s still here!

Splurges? Homemade lamb pies and lots of potato this week. Pies and potato go together like ice cream and sprinkles. =)

Wedding rings on or off?  Wedding band on; the others are hanging around my neck this week.

My best moment was … Our 34-week appointment when our OB told us the placement of our little peanut and where its head, back, buns, and feet are. It’s hard to believe that he or she will be here so soon!

Looking forward to … This weekend’s nesting activities: putting in the car seat and replacing the guestroom rug with the new shaggy baby rug!
