40 Weeks: Pregnancy Update

40 weeks

How far along? 40 weeks and 3 days – This baby is officially LATE as of Sunday!

Baby is the size of a … Jackfruit! Baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds.

How has (s)he changed this week? Not much has changed last week. Baby is just growing bigger and stronger!

So far, I’ve gained … 39 – 40 pounds. I didn’t weigh myself this week.

Sleep has been … Bad! I couldn’t fall asleep last night until 1am and was wide awake at 5:15am! Somehow I’m not that tired today.

I feel … Uncomfortable and huge, and I don’t expect that to change until after the baby comes!

I miss … Nothing at the moment

Craving … Carbs galoreeee

Keep me away from … Nothing!

Symptoms?  Frequent bathroom breaks, shortness of breath, baby brain, Braxton Hicks contractions, fatigue, pelvic discomfort, heartburn

Gender? Boy! Or girl. Who knows!

Maternity clothes? Everything and even maternity clothes are getting a little tight!

Movement? The little one has periods of deep sleep but when the baby’s awake, he or she definitely lets me know it!

Exercise? Daily walks to get this baby moving!

Healthy eats? Lots of fruit, veggies, smoothies

Splurges? Chinese food

Wedding rings on or off?  Off – lots of water retention these days….

My best moment was … Lots of one-on-one relaxation time with Rich before our lives change forever – for the better! =)

Looking forward to … Finally meeting the peanut soon! Come onnnnn, baby!

39 Weeks: Pregnancy Update

39 weeks

How far along? 39 weeks and 4 days

Baby is the size of a … Watermelon! Baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds.

How has (s)he changed this week? He or she can probably flex its limbs by now, which would explain all the kicking and punching going on right now.

So far, I’ve gained … 40 pounds total, about a pound since last week.

Sleep has been … Terrible. Pains at night and hourly bathroom pit stops are keeping me up.

I feel … Uncomfortable and huge, and I don’t expect that to change until after the baby comes!

I miss … A medium, rare steak

Craving … Pasta!

Keep me away from … Nothing except bananas (sort of)

Symptoms?  Frequent bathroom breaks, shortness of breath, baby brain, Braxton Hicks contractions, fatigue, pelvic discomfort, heartburn

Gender? Boy! Or girl. Who knows!

Maternity clothes? Not much fits anymore but I’m still making an effort to look “cute.”

Movement? The little one has periods of deep sleep but when the baby’s awake, he or she definitely lets me know it!

Exercise? Just walking as much as I can

Healthy eats? Bananas, pineapple, cantaloupe, strawberries, honeydew – We bought ourselves an Edible Arrangement for our anniversary present, so we’ll be noshing on that for awhile. =)

Splurges? Chocolate chip muffins that I baked on Tuesday! And a cheeseburger last night for National Cheeseburger Day.

Wedding rings on or off?  Off – lots of water retention these days….

My best moment was … Our 39 week appointment. Things are moving in the right direction and hopefully continue that way!

Looking forward to … Finally meeting the peanut! Maybe this’ll be the last prego update??!

38 Weeks: Pregnancy Update

This update is a week late but….

38 weeks

How far along? 38 weeks

Baby is the size of a … Pumpkin! Baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds.

How has (s)he changed this week? His or her head is now about the same circumference as her abdomen, and he or she may have about an inch or so of hair already.

So far, I’ve gained … 39 pounds I think but I’ve stopped weighing myself at this point. Hahah

Sleep has been … Not awesome, as you can imagine! It’s hard to get comfortable and stay that way!

I feel … Uncomfortable and huuuuge to name a couple of adjectives.

I miss … A cold, deli sandwich

Craving … Chicken salad

Keep me away from … Nothing right now

Symptoms?  Frequent bathroom breaks, shortness of breath, baby brain, Braxton Hicks contractions, fatigue, pelvic discomfort

Gender? Boy! Or girl. Who knows!

Maternity clothes? Everything, and I’m running out of clothes that fit!

Movement? Not as frequent as before but when there is movement, it kind of hurts!

Exercise? Just walking

Healthy eats? Bananas, pineapple, Triscuits, asparagus, Wheat Thins

Splurges? Cupcakes, Cheese Itz, and a McDonald’s Big Mac (not together!)… I know – gross.

Wedding rings on or off?  Off – lots of water retention these days….

My best moment was … Hanging up curtains in the peanut’s room!
